Meet Rebecca..

Rebecca was born in Heidelberg, a quaint little town located on the Neckar River in southwestern Germany. Her father served in the U.S. Army which included three deployments to Vietnam. Her mother, a native of Germany, became a naturalized citizen of the United States where she learned English as a second language. At only 4 weeks old, her parents relocated to North Texas to begin a new chapter.

In the early years of her childhood, Rebecca’s home life was filled with much instability. Whether it was battling with her PTSD ridden father just to be understood or making endless attempts to try and measure up to her stepfather’s unrealistic expectations, the results were always the same.

Yet, no matter the amount of “no’s” she experienced growing up, she would not allow it to diminish the light of “yes” that she knew was on the inside of her. No matter the trial, no matter the setback, it was her resilience and her desire to prove her worth that she excelled in academics and business. Refusing to wear the label of insignificance, she set out to show the world that she was not the typical, ‘girl next door’!

At the age of 11, armed with an unwavering fortitude and an all-in attitude, she opened her first business, painting street addresses on residential driveway curbs. Before long she had more money in her savings account than those in her own family. From that humble beginning, she never looked back and has never stopped allowing the spirit of excellence to drive whatever she sets her hands to. With an aggressive commitment, she put herself through college, earning a BS in Marketing and an MS in Marketing Research.

During the early professional years, she discovered the joy of teaching. The passion to make a difference in the lives of her students kept her on that journey for 24 years. It wasn’t until the call that she received from God that it was time to travel in a different direction did she begin pursuing a career in real estate. With 30 years of experience behind her, in marketing, education, customer service, and a multi-business owner/operator, she knew her life had been prepared for such a time as this.

With one bold move, she stepped out into her finest hour yet - to launch her next calling - the birth of Townsend Realty of Texas. With great challenges comes also some of the greatest rewards one will ever experience in life if they do not grow weary. Rebecca pushed-past-hard and this has become her ministry now. To help others find possibilities in a world where all they have ever known is the impossible. To cross out the ‘no’s and write over them with ‘yes’, just as she did with her own life. To stop at nothing when it comes to being the real estate warrior who battles for her clients and wins!

Come and see why so many people have found their way home to dreams and realities they never thought were possible before. And if you ask her how she does it, she will tell you… “it’s not me, it’s the God inside of me that lights the way home for people.” He is the one who has helped me make a difference in the lives of so many people. I’m just along for the ride.”
